Help my dogs won't eat!?

It is easter and even the emergency vet is closed!!! My dogs hasn't eaten since Friday. Her belly was upset, I could hear it grumbling..so I just waited it out. Today I gave her a pepcid and she threw it up. She threw up bile yesterday 4 times. She is keeping down water today. She does have whip worms but was treated with Drontal + and sentinel. She is acting extra sleepy. I even cooked her hamberger and rice and she wouldn't even eat that. The two things I know is that I didn't switch foods, but I mixed in a different can then usual...this time I used chicken and rice instead of lamb. Also she did get into the cat food a couple of times last week. Anyway, any suggestions??? I am gotting her into the vet first thing in the morning.

I am glad you are. I think to benefit from it, you have to fall into the right niche. For example, I am not because we had already fallen between the cracks before the economy got really bad. Although, income puts us at poverty level my husband has some resources which means I can't qualify for any help. We couldn't even benefit from "cash for clunkers" because a 1994 lincoln town car was the only model year that didn't qualify. One of my brothers is going to lose his job at GE this year. He's an electrician and should have no problem finding another job, but he had a lot of years there. My other brother almost lost his job last year but someone else took it over so the owners ended up working for the new owners. I can't think of anyone I personally know around here who is benefiting from the down economy, but I know of people who are. If only I was so fortunate...but still glad for you! = )

My daughter wants me to divorce my husband?

My 32 year old daughter has lied since she was able to talk. She once said my parents abused her when she was staying there( while I and her father was getting divorced ) she told the school this because she didn't want to stay there. It all came out that she lied my parents ed me once and they cried. Then she went to live with her father at age 12 and by age 13 she said him and his wife where abusing her because she wanted to live with me. This also was unfounded she says things to get her way no matter how awful and hurtful. Still at this age she does this, we have 2 grandchildren that we can't see because she is mad at us for who knows what this time. She sent a letter to my job saying I could never see them again unless I divorce my husband now she is accusing him of abusing her (touching her when she was little) My husband is devastated by this we love our grandchildren but she uses them as a weapon against us, do as I say or you won't see them and she punishes her kids with us (you didn't get good grades so you can't see your grandparents).She is a real work of art I don't know what to do if we push her she will cry ually abuse and my innocent husband could end up in jail because she is a liar. I just don't want my grandchildren to think we don't care anymore because we can't call them either (she has blocked our phones we can't call) The kids are 7 and 11, we raised the 11 year old for 6 years because she didn't want her. And the court system put her back with her because they are always better off with the parents right!!! Grandparents have no rights in Illinois even though we had all the proof in the world of drugs and drinking did us no good. So she says that is one of the reasons she hates me because I went to court with this proof against her. It scares me that she is such a good liar and gets away with it. What is to stop her from going to court if she gets mad again and press charges against my husband. How do you defend yourself against these charges? I hate that she has such a hold over us.

Middle Child...My brother and sister gang up on me!?

Im the middle child. My little sister and older brother are really tight. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything because I am pretty tight with my older brother too. On the contrary, I am really mean to my little sister. I know I should be nicer to her but she can be such a rude, egocentric brat! She's in 7th grade and I'm a senior. Sometimes I find my sweatshirts in her room! I never give her any of my clothing, and she sleeps in our big brother's tshirts and shorts sometimes since he is at college. I know that our cleaning lady doesn't put my sweatshirts in her room, meaning she must be taking them. Does this mean she is proud of me and wants to be like me? Or does she just want to show off all the cool sweatshirts from our schools sports teams that are in her home? Also, 2 weekends ago, we went to visit my brother at college. He is a sophmore in college. I slept in his dormroom and my sister and parents slept at the hotel. The whole time my brother was constantly making fun of me and insulting me. I tried to ignore it but then he brought up the fact that I was the middle child and most middle children kill themselves because they are ignored. I don't know why he brought that up but he was being a huge jerk. that night we went to a party and he got pretty buzzed. I wasn't having fun at the party since he kept telling every girl I was having a conversation with that I was a virgin and a senior in highschool...the later being true but I am not a virgin. I went back to his dorm before him and at around 3 am I get waken up by being pushed off of the top bunk by him so he can sleep there. I landed really hard on my arm but was way to tired to move even though in much pain. The next morning, I woke up before my brother and woke him up because my parents and little sister were going to be at his dorm in 2 hrs. I also wanted to tell him that he really hurt my arm when he pushed me. He first threw his pillow at me, wanting to sleep cause he was hungover, but I told him I would tell mom and dad about the party the night before if he didn't get up. He sprung out of bed and pinned me to the ground. He threatened me and said if I told our parents about last night or my arm I'd be sorry. I shoved him off of me with much struggle, really only having one arm to use and we both got ready for our sister and parents. When my sister came into the dorm my brother and her had a really long conversation about life and whatever, so I went to get some poptarts from the vending machine. When I got back my brother looked really angry and he punched me really hard in the shoulder, of the arm that I landed on when he pushed me off the bed. My sister started laughing when I said ouch really loudly. I was really angry at my brother so I inquired what the punch was about. He said it was for giving my sister a black eye. WHICH WAS A COMPLETE ACCIDENT! she shouldnt have walked infront of the soccer goal in our backyard when she saw I was practicing my penalty kick. She walked right infront of the goal when I was kicking the ball and it hit her in the head really hard, she fell down. It was all her fault because i was already kicking the ball as she walked by. Anyways I looked at my sister and said Cara, did you tell Oliver that it was an accident? and she didn't answer which caused a huge conflict between Oliver and myself, and I ended up looking bad and weak infront of Cara. I don't understand why they are both so mean to me when they are together but when they are alone they are usually nice, well at least my brother is nice to me when he is at home or if we are not in the same room together outside of home. My sister usually looks up to me but I usually just tease her and make her doubt herself. Anyways turns out my arm was broken, I went to the doctor when a day after I got home because I was in horrid pain, and I don't want to tell my brother he broke my arm because he was drunk when he broke it and it was not intentional, if he was sober he wouldn't have broken my arm. He also bruised my shoulder really badly from the punch he gave me. I'm now on good terms with my brother, last week I was still kind of angry at him but now I could care less about what happened although I still have an enormous bruise on my shoulder and a cast around my arm. I don't undrestand why my brother and sister team up on me when they are together or have seen each other recently. Do any of you other middle children feel that way? and now my sister won't speak to me because I paid for her lunch last week. I really don't understand this, why does my sister get me beaten up by my brother and act as if I'm the bad guy in the situation? And why does my brother take my sister's side??

Why is Canada's education system so bad in some areas?

I've recently moved to the NWT and one thing I couldn't help but notice is that students here seem to be falling behind compared to their peers down south. I know kids as old as 8 who can't even read at all and teenagers who can't even name all the provinces. When it comes to proficiency in other subjects like maths those students seem to do even worse. The government says that Canadian schools are among one of the best in the world rising way above the average level. I do not think so. Maybe, the government has only essed the results found down south and ignored completely those who live in the North.

Probelms with My Fiancee's Chick Friend!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!?

My fiancee (Dan) and I have been together for 3 1/2 years and we have a 10 month old son together :)!!!!!!!! When we first met sparks flew lol we had an immediate attraction towards eachother. When we first started hanging out he had a friend named Beth and I did like her, she was very nice and sweet to me....................until Dan told her that he really liked me. Beth was one of his best friends they had been friends since elementary and you know thats what best friends do they tell eachother if they like someone. Well Beth did NOT like that he liked me at all.....because she had a HUGE crush on him. So when she found out that we both REALLY liked eachother she would take my spot at Dan's house, which was by Dan on his love seat, she would make sure she would be there when I was there. She would interrupt us when we would talk to eachother. Then the night we go together she found out because she came over to his house, I was suppose to go out with some friends that night, but I decided to hang ou with him which was good because we asked me out that night. She looked me right in the face and said "Aren't you suppose to be out with some friends or something right now," and Dan kinda gave her a dirty look and said "Yeah but I wanted to ask her out and spend some time with my new girlfriend." Beth just looked at Dan and stayed silent for the next 45 minutes and then she took off. Then the next day I was on my myspace and I decided to look for her so I could add her, u know being my boyfriends friend i figured i'd be nice and add her on to mine so we can get to know eachother. Well she had wrote a blog about Dan and I. Saying that he was cheating on her with me and all kinds of mean things like calling me a skank because I took her man. I called Dan and asked what was ACTUALLY going on with them and he was straightforward and honest with me. He said "Nothing were just friends...why." I said "Because she wrote a nasty blog about you and me and how u cheated on her with me and left her for me." He was like "What the hell is her probelm." He had told me that for the past year she had been trying to push him into going out with her and he said one night 2 years before we got together they made out when he was really drunk and nothing else he said he even felt weirded out that they had made out. Like I told him it doesn't matter what you guys did before we were together because it was before we were together lol, and he said that was the only time anything happened and thats all that happened. I guess she even called and bitched him out the night of our first date and we almost missed the movie we were seeing because of it. Dan being the nice guy he was didn't wanna lose his friend over this, but wasn't about to lose me for it either so he told her "Look we ARE NOT TOGETHER, NEVER WERE, AND NEVER WILL BE so either you can be my friend and respect my decision and my girlfriend or you can screw off because I'm not gonna deal with you getting people mad at me and lying to people that we were ever together." So she tried to and tried to tolerate it, until one night Dan had it with her. See they were on a bowling team together and I would go with him everytime he went, the one night I didn't go she tried to get down dan's pants and tried filling his head with crap by saying that I was going to cheat on him and break his heart so he ended the friendship then and there. She tried talking to him for a week and even wrote him a letter confessing her undying love for him, saying he was cheating on me even though I knew where he was all of the time and then nothing. Until about two weeks ago she had the odacity (sp?) to e-mail me on facebook asking if we were still together and if our son was actually his............. she's married now and so u know being a supposedly happy married woman...why is she e-mailing me asking me questions that is none of her concern. What should I do...tell her off like I should of done a long time ago, answer back but be kinda snippy...or what? What are your opinions the whole situation.

Can I brine my turkey with regular salt, or must it be kosher?

DB is correct as far as being able to use regular salt (you can substitute kosher salt for regular when the salt is dissolving), and also that it would take less regular salt than kosher salt - however when substituting kosher salt for regular salt - if you were using 1 teaspoon you would add 1/4 to 1/2 more of the kosher salt. So if you're figuring in cups - you would use 1 1/2 cups of regular as opposed to 2 cups of kosher. This isn't because it's saltier, but because regular salt is fine and more of it fits in a cup than kosher salt.

9 weeks pregnant and don't feel it :( please help!?

Oka so going by my ultrasound 3 weeks ago I will be 9 weeks pregnant in 2 days. The heart was beating at the scan and everything was fine but now I just don't feel pregnant. Everyone has **** days where everything gets to them and they feel so demotivated that they don't feel it could get any worse. Believe me, through all your problems there is always someone worse off than you. You're lucky to be out of that bad childhood, away from your parent's and living your own life. I think you need to take a good, long, cold hard look at your life. The bad stuff is in the past - where it will always stay. Try best as you can to move away from it because otherwise it'll consume your entire life. You can still make a go of your life - don't ever feel like you can't because you can - I know you can!

Yes, I do think we'd pull out. However, if you do a little homework and research the histories of those people, you'll see that they've distrusted one another for centuries. I think the real mistake the Bush Administration made was thinking for one moment that they could actually get those three groups to form a coalition government. They can't. It's not like republicans and democrats. These are people who have hated each other for centuries. It's not going to work. The US policy in Iraq has been doomed from the moment we left the power vacuum by capturing Saddam Hussein. Don't get me wrong, he was a terrible ruler who did some awful things, but they needed to have a new leader ready to take over, and that hasn't happened.

I am so sorry for your pain. I know how bad it hurts when the one you love sems to be pulling away from you. My only advice is just sit down with her once and for all. Have a heart to heart and lay everything out. Tell her that you expect honesty and loyalty and if she cant give that to you then there is no point in moving forward. 15 weeks with a low placenta.?

Has anyone been told they had a low placenta early on and then had it move as they got bigger? My OB says that the placenta could move up as I get bigger, I have had an abrasion, meaning part of the placenta has pulled away from the uterus, the baby is fine and the dr. isn't too worred, I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this. There is a chunk of mail, both inbox and sent, over a period of about 2 weeks that I am unable to read. The mail is listed with both title and recipicent/sender but when you go to read it it is then titled [No Subject] and the to as "undisclosed". Well the homemaker and I have been talking on the phone and she is taking care of her sick mother, going to college, and doing all kinds of things. Well she said its to the point where she cant take her laundry home anymore, because its raising her water bill, and she has loads to do at home with her own family, and not to mention the other problems. Well now that I have mentioned quite a bit about this situation...How in the world does she just stop without the lady telling on her for taking it home, and without hurting the lady's feelings. I know we both try and not to take this lady personal but I'm telling you she is just one of those constantly degrading you to your face a little and behind your back to your boss or whoever. Another aide use to take her stuff home, and it got overwhelming in the same situation and she told our client that her washer broke. I dont know if you could use that same excuse. She will be very upset and cry and everything else. I'm not really familiar in how to handle someone with these problems. Nothing is ever right, and when it is she loves you. But when you leave she is telling everyone how horrible, and everything you supposedly "didn't do for her that your supposed to". And let me tell you she is mean and cruel with a potty mouth lol, but we know she dont mean it. When she doesn't realize we go out of our way. But basically she just can't take her laundry home. Any suggestions as to how to tell her you cant do it without making her so angry or getting in trouble? Maybe it is the way you present yourself. It could be just them but if everyone is treating you this way including your friends then you need to take a look of how you present your problems to people. Melodrama is annoying to people. I am not saying you are, just that you take a good look at how you act. If you are in school you might consider talking to the counselor there and see if they can help you.

Bird nest trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!?

HELP ME!! I was out in my fenced in yard when i saw a nest that had fallen out of the tree. i looked around and saw an egg cracked. i looked an inch to the right when i saw a blue egg unharmed. I picked it up and put it in the nest and put the nest on the otherside of the fence. What should i do if thge parents don't claim it? How can i take care of it? I want a small to medium sized dog but its needs to be a good swimmer, trailer, and avid hunter. I would prefer short hair, and a verity of hair colors to choice from. A dog that doesn't have many health problems is preferred but some are ok as long as they do not usually cause death (tumor, and sesures). German Shepherd Rescued?

to all who I have "spoken" with before and to all who lovingly offered suggestions. "Abbey" the dog I rescued from the Humane Society took a turn for the worse. I sat up with her 48 hours on Sunday trying to give her fluids with a syringe, still would't eat a thing. She was at the vets Mon.mornng. He have her IV fluids and some antibiotics. Blood work showed some form of pancreatitus(?). Because of her emaciated body and I guess poor health she just went down hill. I went to seeher today at 12 and couldn't believe her condition. Dull eyes, sunken in face, no recognition that I was even there. Plus she had a horrible green,yellow and white discharge from her nose that was hindering her breathing. The vet and i sat and talked (well he talked, I cried) and we just didn't see her getting any better, we both decided it was time to let her go. I laid on the blanket with her face to face and held her while she went on to Heaven. So although I only had her for a few days I KNOW she felt love.

PH - Fine (whatever that is).So the shop keeper was a little confused as to why there were Nitrites in the tank when I had have no fish whatsoever.He advised me to go for 4 platies to start with(my tank is 35l) which I have done today,II acclimatised them before placing in tank with temperature &water quality&they seem to be doing fine,however the shopkeeper told me not to feed them all week&come back next week with more water.My problem now is that there is a plant in the tank which the platies seem to love&they wont stop eating it,I have took the plant out&now there is lots of poop which I am worried might kill them What do I do?

She may have been thinking of cats who are in kidney failure. Cats who have kidney disease or are in kidney failure should not have a lot of protein in their diets. I add extra water to the canned food as well & I also add about a 1/3 of a capsule of CranActin cranberry supplement. You can find this supplement also in health food stores or I'm sure you can order it online as well. It's a human supplement but it's basically just concentrated cranberry & it's safe for cats. Do you have well water? If so, please only give your cat bottled water. Hard water can cause bladder/kidney problems & lead to stones in pets as well as people. i have close to a hundred baby convict cichlids in a fishtank at school, who've been active since last friday (today is tuesday). Why won't my dog eat his dog food?

When I got my dog he ate his dry dog food with some wet food mixed in. Then he stopped eating it and we switched Beneful Prepared Meals, and he ate that for a lil bit. Then he stopped eating that. So we tried other foods but he didn't want those either. We started giving him some of our food (bad idea, I know, but I didn't want him malnourished :/) and now he won't eat it unless we hand feed it to him. How do I get him to eat his dry dog food and not our human food?

When I was 12, I was put on birth control pills to make my period regular. They would be on for weeks! Heavy with blood clots. Later on at age 15, I was taken off the pill because my period became normal. Only on for 3 to 4 days and light or normal.I was really supose to be taken off the pill at tge age of 16. I turned 16 sunday (april 4). And my period is back! It's heavy and with big blood clots that kept coming. It was so bad that I called my mom to get my because I thought that I wasn't going to make it the whole day...I have no idea what's going on with me.What is causing me to have this crazy problem. I've been married for over 10 years now and I'll tell you the first year of living together is always the hardest. You no longer have private space and time away from each other. The real person is seen for the first time. So, there is an adjustment period. You guys need to sit down and talk about what you want from each other. My guess is, he will say more . You will say you want him to be more dependable? So, you have to work a deal. He needs to give you whatever it is you need in order for you to feel happy and relaxed enough to fulfill his needs. If you are frustrated with his lack of help (or whatever your frustrations are) you sure as heck aren't gonna want to jump in the sack with him and have cuddle time. :) You have to talk and tell him how you feel. You have to open up and communicate. We all have different needs and wants but no one is a mind reader. Try talking to him but without nagging. If he doesn't listen or give you what you are looking for, then maybe you should rethink your choice. But, if he responds positively, then you can move forward.

I would think a more urban area with some motive as to schools and what not would be ideal for me. No, I do not know what my next step is in my life but being here is doing NOTHING for me and also I don't have a car, either. So yeah you probably understand where I am coming from even more now. So please tell me what is a better part of FL for me to move to and a better chance of getting a job then here...is it Orlando? Tampa? Miami? Sarasota?
