Making a dark blue room feminine?

I'm 19 just moved in with my dad and have my brothers old room it's all dark blue including the carpet. I actually love dark blue in clothes and accessoires but for some reason i can't seem to get any ideas on how to make it girly. I want to make it my style, lightly arty/vintage. It has a black bed frame and light beech cabinets/wardrobe. I was thinking a bit of gold would look nice but i don't have any ideas! :( please help even down to the most minute details just to make it feel like my own room! thanks!
