How do you install command and conquer generals on a windows 7 64 bit?

alright when i first got my windows 7 i was excited to plat command and conquer generals& generals zero hour, when i install it it installs quickly, but when i launch either of them it doesnt work, any help??? and if it helps i have a HP pavilion P630f PC
